Brief and Introduction:

A contemporary brick residence defined by its strong geometric form and crafted facade articulation. The design explores the timelessness of exposed brick while integrating modern elements to create a bold yet warm architectural language. The upper volume is treated as a monolithic mass, softened through texture, light, and shadow

 

Innovative Features:

• Parametric Brick Screen: A perforated brick jaali wraps the upper facade, acting as a passive shading device while creating dynamic light patterns inside

• Climate-Responsive Design: Deep recesses and screened surfaces reduce heat gain and enhance thermal comfort

• Material Honesty: Use of exposed brick as a primary material ensures low maintenance and long-term durability

Sustainability and Green Design:

• Passive Cooling Strategy: The brick jaali acts as a natural shading device, reducing heat gain and minimizing reliance on mechanical cooling

• Thermal Mass Advantage: Exposed brick walls regulate indoor temperatures by absorbing and slowly releasing heat

• Daylight Optimization: Filtered natural light through the perforated facade reduces daytime energy consumption
